Posted by Bridget Beirne on March 29, 2013

A short soundtrack for some of our favorite traditions!

The time of year has arrived when people are preparing Seders and Sunday dinners, and we know that Spring must be right around the corner! The calendar may say it's official, but friends around the country have been experiencing enough wacky weather to make us all wonder if the sun will ever return. (Not to mention that Team Ovation Headquarters keeps getting blanketed in snow...)

Last year we shared some Easter and Passover Holiday Tips. This year, we offer you some tunes to usher in Spring! Here are a few songs we'll be listening to in the hopes of bringing in the season:

1. We have to start with the movement "Spring" from Vivaldi's enduring Four Seasons. This clip, beautifully shot in the National Botanical Gardens of Wales, will certainly get you in the mood!

2. The Divine Miss M (or Bette Midler, as she's more commonly known!) does a divine job with the bittersweet standard, "Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most" :

3.  And for a spring in your step, "Sister Golden Hair" by America

4.  No list of ours would be complete without a showtune! "Put on Your Sunday Clothes" from the musical Hello, Dolly! (You may also recognize it from the movie Wall-E...)

5. "It's been a long, cold lonely winter/It feels like years since it's been here" Of course, what we all hope we'll be saying soon- "Here Comes the Sun" by The Beatles:
