Kerri was amazingly insightful. It was eye opening to learn how body language impacts communication and how the brain processes things. I wish Kerri worked here at John Hancock because she brings an amazing amount of humor and engaged us brilliantly.

You may also have seen her catching a pass from a New England Patriot, singing a Christmas carol or complaining of bloating in a television commercial. She is a member of Actors' Equity Association.

Kerri's first book, Presentation Skills for Managers, is available now from McGraw-Hill.

What’s one thing you wish the business world would borrow from the acting world?

Observation! Business people are smart, very smart. Here in New England, they are “wicked smaht” but not always the best observers. As actors we’re taught and encouraged to people watch. This begins to hone our social awareness skills — vital in acting and the business world.

What do you consider your personal trademark as a trainer?

My humor. I strongly believe that humor can alleviate stress and bring people to a more open state of mind, which is great place to be in the classroom.

Which talent would you most like to have?

I wish I could decorate my home above the college dorm level of decoration that I’m capable of now.

What can’t you start your day without?

Coffee and Crossfit (don’t roll your eyes).

What is your most treasured possession?

My husband and daughter.
