What do you consider your personal trademark as a trainer?
People have told me that they love my passion, honesty, and the way I make them feel seen and heard.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Professionally: Programming, producing, performing, and touring with a group of singers “African American Art Song Recital”. A concert of beautiful and powerful art songs that are rarely sung. After every concert a singer would come up to us and tell us which piece they were going to learn and start incorporating in their repertoire. My exact purpose: to inspire other singers to perform these musical gems.
Personally: Raising my 3 kids as the sole parent and seeing how they have turned out to be kind, thoughtful, service oriented, and positive members of our community.
Which role or performance of your own has meant the most to you as an actor?
Being the pianist in the premiere of “Opera Seria…NOT!”. I got to perform a hilarious spoof on opera divas and their pianists.
What can’t you start your day without?
Doing 20 minutes of yoga and meditation.
What is your hidden talent?
Being able to look in my refrigerator and making a meal out of anything that is there.
